A Healthy Fruit Cocktail of Body Shapes

Ever since Trinny and Susanna hit our TV screens 13 years ago we have been reading up on our body shape to work out what best suits us and where to spend our cash! Times have not changed, we are still looking to find the perfect pair of trousers and the most flattering neckline but now Debenhams have made it a little easier for us! The team at the 240 store retailer have devised a fruit cocktail of shapes to assist us in our quest for wardrobe perfection!

From rhubarb to strawberries for women and leeks to aubergines for men this makes working out your body shape a lot more interesting and makes me a lot more peckish for my 5 a day! Each body shape comes with handy hints to help you find what suits you and if that's not enough, Debenhams 11 top personal shoppers and stylists in their Oxford Street flagship store have been trained in the fruit and veg body shapes to offer their guidance when your out and about in the shop.

After assessing the range of shapes myself I'm between a rhubarb and a pear making me somewhere between Cara Delevingne and BeyoncĂ© which is already a winning start! Im recommended to try printed tops, chunky necklaces and tulip shirts - all of which I love! What's great about the handy hints and top tips suggested by Debenhams is that instead of giving you rules you have to stick to, you are given ideas and inspiration to try out new things! With the summer season coming I cant wait to try out some of their ideas!

The new Personal Stylist service can be found on the third floor of Debenhams on Oxford Street. Debenhams also has Personal Shopper services in 115 stores nationwide. Shoppers can book appointments online at

Hello Trainers!

Ladies, the day has come! Say good bye to those sky high killer heel, say good bye to those giant platforms and say Hello to trainers! Debenhams have reported a rise in sales of sports shoes and this is no fluke as celebrities and fashionista’s are also embracing the trend for comfy feet! Hurray trainers are no longer just for the gym!

With fashion week over and time to reflect on the catwalks and outfits, trainers are standing out as the favourite footwear option! With fashion editors sporting the latest trainers on the front row and Karl Lagerfeld’s 65 Chanel models walking the Paris catwalk in sports shoes it looks as though this trend is here to stay!

“Women no longer need to reserve trainers for their daily commute, carrying their trusty heels in their handbags like Melanie Griffith in Working Girl” Said Natelle Baddeley, Head of Design, Debenhams.

“Thanks to fashion editors and celebrities such as Kristen Stewart, Naomi Watts and Cate Blanchett, who have all worn them on the red carpet; it’s now completely acceptable to wear trainers with dresses, skirts and even trouser suits.”

Heres some of my top looks to add trainers to your every day wardrobe!
