She Likes ... Sunny Yellow

Absolutly LOVE this Harlston yellow dress and altho it is a more formal number it would be perfect dressed down for a more casual look! Nothing like sunny brights to make you ready for summer - this year wear with washed denim and tan accessories and a splash of gold!!  The Topshop earings are amazing too!

She Likes ... Denim Days

It seems whether you are on the beach, in the park or out on the town this summer you should be wearing a flash of denim - or all denim as the case may be! Loving the Louboutin denim wedges below - perfect with a little white dress! And the Sass and Bide top is amazing for smart casual at work - hello wide leg printed trousers and statement necklace! Luckily for those (like myself) who dont have a spare £300 there are loads of highstreet alternatives - check out Topshop for fab shorts and playsuits, DPs for bright denim jeans and Asos for jackets! How are you wearing denim this summer?

She Likes ... The Box Boutique

This week I was lucky enough to be invited along to The Box Boutique in London's luxurious May Fair - its hard not to be exited by just being in that area surrounded by huge fashion landmarks like the Vogue offices! The Box situated on Maddox Street is a brand new shoe and accessory boutique with an impressive range of designers, from Beatrix Ong to Raphael Young  you are sure to find something that you'll love! The boutique itself is fitted out in what can only be described as traditional English designs with a unique neon edge! My personal favorite was this bowler hat spot lights above the counter! The shoes that line the side wall are different to anything you will find on the highstreet - so if your a shoe lover looking for something a bit different The Box if defiantly worth a visit! And, not forgetting the accessories - two words - diamante studded sunglasses!

And of course a fab evening was had by all with champagne, impossibly giant strawberries and miniature cupcakes - it was almost a little Alice in Wonderland!

She Likes ... Celeb Hair

Its a dilemma that faces every girl and several points in their life, from starting back at school after holidays to a new job, to dressing younger or looking mature ... the age old question when going for a new look - short hair or long hair? Grow it or chop it all off?! It seems it's an issue where you always think the grass is greener - until you cut off all your hair into a bob and realize you look more like a Bob than Britney! (long hair version)! However if we're ever feeling confused we always have the world of celebs to help us make the most out of our hair and provide some ideas before going for the big chop - so even if we think its feeling long and boring, Angelina Jolie teaches us that with a bit of back combing or curlers there is a world of opportunities there for the taking!

Here are some hair ambassadors who always seem to make the most of their locks to re invent new looks ...

She Likes ... Mulberry

This Spring/Summer's Mulberry collection shows some of their classic shapes in beautiful new pastel colours and lovely soft leathers! The popular Bayswater bag looks fab in the pale pink and gold and I'm still loving the black patent version! I've spotted Mulberry in the paper loads recently for it massive growth in profits over the last year but you can see why as their collections are always current and easy to wear but keeping with that luxury feel that you want from an expensive bag! Love the pastel colour pallet below and so happy to see that they are still doing animal prints as well!

Another beautiful bag thats caught my eye is this coral Marc Jacobs Natasha bag! Love love love the colour and the gold rings! And at £290 this is not a cheap weekend bag its a bit of an investment -

A cheaper option from Warehouse at £22, unfortunately its not leather tho - still cute and may satisfy the bag craving for now - Marc might have to wait!

She Likes ... Spring Florals

Spring is here (just about)! So its time to think about what kind of sandals to wear this year on the few sunny days, and what dress to wear for that summer wedding, and whether last years ripped denim shorts still fit! The spring/summer clothes are hitting the shops and even if the weather is not quite warm enough yet we can still get exited at the prospect of some sun! So to help you out - here are some of the best spring florals to go with those denim shorts and sandals!

She Likes ... Couverture: Notting Hill

Today I was invited to Couverture in Notting Hill to have a tour of the store and interview its founder – Emily Dyson. I arrived at 2ish and was met by the lovely Camilla who showed me around, the store is home to women’s, children’s and men’s brands that are from all over the world and exclusive to Couverture and it’s menswear half called The Garbstore.

The shop is in an impressive building all open space, high ceilings and iron staircases and as I walked round it almost felt as if you are taken on a journey through women’s wear which is chilled, neutral and complimented with fresh flowers, then into children’s wear which is playful with toys, baskets of shoes and little pictures and books scattered around. Up the stairs there is a more homewear, gifty area with some shoes as well (hurray!).

Couverture is one of those places that you cant help but touch the clothes because the fabric is so amazing and there are so many things to look at - chunky knits, fine knits, silky dresses, soft cotton tops, leather purses and all the rest! They even have jewelery, which, like the clothes screams quality and individuality - one stop shop for almost anything!

Interview with Emily Dyson

What’s the best thing about being in Notting Hill?
I live and work here so its great for me to be so close to work all the time! I Feel very privileged to be in such a nice area and its so central which I love! I actually grew up in the country so I like that Notting Hill has lots of parks and greenery – its important to me that my children have that around them as well as the city. I also love the market here – it like being in your own little village!

What was your vision for the shop?
I feel like it’s perfect and all I wanted it to be! We have lots of exiting labels here that are exclusive to us and the clothes are really beautiful! I want customers to feel inspired when they walk in.

What’s your favorite piece in the shop at the moment?
I really love this green skirt and bag –I will defiantly be wearing these a lot this summer! The colour is amazing!

What do you think are key pieces for this Spring/Summer?
I really love tan and cobalt blue at the moment – we have these tan trousers that are so soft and a lovely shape, and the attention to detail is great. I also love this blue range – we have a dress and cardigan in this animal and spot print which go really well.

I would definitely recommend anyone to take a little trip to Notting Hill and visit Couverture its in an amazing area and the shop has really beautiful clothes and a lovely feel about it! It really is inspiring!

Thanks to:
Emily at Couverture
and Camilla!

She Likes ...Brogues (a little too much)

2 pairs in one week! Perhaps not the best example of trying to save money but i think that even if i have to make cheese sandwiches for lunch instead of buy Pret for a few weeks to make up for it these shoes might just be worth it! The brown ones are Asos specials and the black are M+S bargains at just £25 - whether my feet are going to have to pay for that bargain as they are not leather i will let you know!

And as she does actually like shoes - i have spotted these as well which are also beautiful! But these Kurt Geiger shoes - even in the sale - i cant justify buying as i think a cheese sandwich for lunch my just turn into bread and butter!

She Likes ... Tats

It seems as though tattoos as making a come back! (did they ever go away?) Kate Moss made headlines this week by appearing on the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week smoking and whether you think this was a irresponsible or genius move you cant deny she still looks amazing! Below her wrist anchor tattoo is on full show complementing her black and silver look - she is one of a few tattoo baring models on this years catwalk. Another was the model at the Galliano show showed off her star of david tattoo on her arm.

Kate Moss - Louis Vuitton

John Galliano

Another girl flying the flag for tattoos in Megan Fox who's new Armarni Code ad shows her script tattoo across her back - she looks so different in this pic!

Last but not least - however slightly terrifyingly - is Lady Gaga who makes friends with zombie boy Rick Genest in her new video Born This Way. Although she is not permanently inked to look like this he is with a whole body skeleton tattoo! scary and painful stuff! He has also walked at Formichetti's debut catwalk show for Thierry Mugler.

She Likes ... LFW Clothes

Love this cut out skirt from Holly Fulton showing at London Fashion Week!

Amazing use of texture from Felicity Brown using freyed edges and soft fabrics in her dresses!

Amazing dress (is it?) from Mark Fast - more fab use of texture and love the contrast between fringing and the strain lines of the dress!
